Since 1975, the herd at Lift Me Up! Therapeutic Riding and Wellness Center has brought healing and joy to people with disabilities, and more recently, to those living with mental health challenges. It’s a special place where constraints can be forgotten and the focus is entirely on the attainable. Our therapeutic riders range from 5 to 70+ years old, and our wellness groups include first responders, mental health treatment participants, and senior-living residents.

Lift Me Up! is a local 501(c)(3) charity that relies on community support. Our riding and wellness program revenue only covers 51% of our operating expenses, which include care for our herd as well as property ownership and maintenance. Your contribution will help us to reach our goal of providing approximately 6,500 session hours for more than 1,000 riders and wellness participants annually. 

Make a bigger impact by donating long-term appreciated securities  —  stocks, bonds, mutual funds  —  or cryptocurrencies to Lift Me Up! 100% of contributions go directly to paying costs including horse feed and bedding, veterinary services, property upkeep, and other expenses that are more than our 7-day a week program revenues can cover each year. 

On Wednesday, August 20, our veterinary horse dentist came to float our horses' teeth. For those who chose to observe, it was an incredibly fascinating process to see inside such a large animal's mouth, and a wonderful opportunity to learn more about what is required to keep a horse's mouth healthy and comfortable. 

Our current equine dental costs are $163 annually, at a minimum, for each horse and we welcome Tooth Fairy sponsorships for this important care year-round!
